While Hector, Marsu and Tofurkey are playing « jaguar ť, a variation of « tag ť, they inadvertently break the ear off a nearby totem. Hoping no one has seen them, they try to put the ear back in place and sneak away. But the next day, Topangadakota makes a terrible announcement. He tells them that the Vin-San-Gogo totem’s ear has broken off and disappeared! The entire equilibrium of the jungle has been upset! And, as proof, he points out that the jungle is silent; not a single bird is singing! The guilty parties must perform an impressive musical ceremony in order to appease the great god’s wrath. Hector and Tofurkey must go to a lot of trouble to organize a concert, with Marsu as the main attraction: it turns out, our animal friend is an exceptional one-man band. Meanwhile, Aunt Diane discovers there is a rational explanation for the odd, sudden silence in the jungle: the Aphonia Muetie flower is to blame. Its pollen sticks to the beak of any bird that inhales it. But according to Topangadakota, science has nothing on Vin-San-Gogo’s fury. The concert takes place, and our heroes are able to find the totem’s ear, thereby restoring song to all of Palombia’s birds... (23 min)
