As he’s about to fish for his daily breakfast, Marsu makes in appalling discovery: there are no more piranhas in the Leekysoupi. Hoobah?!!? That’s quite a mystery, and Hector and his animal friend start investigating. It turns out, the piranha has become the new, global gold standard. The entire world wants piranhas; fortunes rise and fall thanks to the piranha. Because of this, fishermen are overfishing Palombia, threatening the jungle’s ecosystem. Hector and Aunt Diane realize that they must do what they can to save the species, and they set off in search of one piranha couple to save before it’s too late. But they have to find the fish before Marsu does, because he’s only interested in his next meal. A great race between Hector, Marsu, and Felicia Devort’s henchmen (always eager to make a quick buck) ensues. They have to act quickly, because the Leekysoupi is suddenly overcrowded with jellyfish, which the piranha population used to keep under control. Finally, clever Hector realizes that the only way to fight “piranhamania” is to start a new trend. Hacking into Felicia Devort’s radio, he makes an announcement that Italian shoes are the next big thing. Calm returns to Palombia. Aunt Diane and Hector release the piranha couple into the river... and Marsu fishes them! Hoobah! (23 min)
