The Simien Mountains in Ethiopia are home to geladas, the only monkey in the world that grazes. They form large and powerful family groups with complex social hierarchies and fickle relationships. Young bachelor males yearn for power, and when the time is right, they take their chance to grab it with great violence. The alpha male faces a world of pressure on his shoulders. He must ensure the safety of his family while battling challenges from other males. However, the real power in the group comes from the females. They are the ones who truly run the show.
