By their very nature, children's birthday parties are a special day each centered on a special person as the sole center of attention, the focus in terms of the primary dessert being served being the birthday cake. As such, Anna provides three special but very different kid friendly options as the birthday cake. First, she turns to cupcakes - chocolate - topped with an American buttercream icing which may be as important as the cupcakes themselves, the overall dessert, depending on the crowd, which can be a do-it-yourself party game for all the attendees. Second, she goes for fun in making a white confetti cake, both the cake itself and the frosting which are studded with sprinkles for that colorful effect. And third, she goes to a kid favorite flavor in making a chocolate chip cookie themed cake where the cake itself not only has all the flavors and textures of chocolate chip cookies, but the decoration which is adorned with actual chocolate chip cookies.
