Today still, the sea induces fear. In some people’s imagination, it is inhabited by sea monsters straight out of the depths. However, risk isn’t always where one would expect it. A prominent jaw is not systematically a threat and the most dangerous species often remain undercover. Danger from the human standpoint is often a strategy of defense for the sea creatures. The ocean has its own risks but, as often in nature, observation greatly helps to avoid them.
