Ella is enlisted to pet sit Buttons, a friend’s dog, on the very day she has to finish a school project about Venus. She decides to take on both responsibilities at once by taking Buttons with her to the planet to capture the final piece of video footage she needs. When the thunder from the storms around Venus scare Buttons into accidentally detaching himself from his pod, he lands on the pla net and disappears.
