Clint Eastwood directs John Cusack, Kevin Spacey and Jude Law in an adaptation of John Berendt's famous novel. New York reporter John Kelso (Cusack) visits Savannah to cover a society party, only to find a guest has been murdered. The host (Spacey) is the main suspect, but the trial exposes a toxic brew of corruption.
