Eight-year-old Jessica, the daughter of an impoverished farmer, still believes in Santa Claus. When she finds a wounded deer in the forest, she decides it is one of Santa’s and brings it to the barn. The girl enthusiastically cures the animal trying to bring it back to health in time, although her father does not understand her holiday spirit.
