R.E.M. are one of the best-selling bands of all time. The trio hailing from Georgia, became a world conquering act selling 85 million studio album whilst never compromising their art rock roots. Singer Michael Stipe and guitarist Peter Buck met in January 1980 in a Georgia record shop.
