Academy Award winners Gene Hackman and Al Pacino star as two men drawn into friendship and mutual dependence as they chase their elusive dreams in Jerry Schatzberg's road movie. Hackman is Max, a pugnacious ex-con just out of jail, while Pacino is Lion, a sailor seeking the wife and child he left behind 6 years before.
