Witnessing Shaggy and Scooby running away from a monster, a sports organiser named Diane compliments them on their athletic ability and asks them to compete in the 2012 World Invitational Games! Shaggy accepts Diane's offer with Scooby as his coach, and the gang is flown to London, where Daphne and Velma immediately become entranced by pole-vaulter Steve Looker. Of course, this prompts Fred to enter the games as a pole-vaulter. But before the contest begins, everyone is amazed when a 2000-year-old statue comes to life and terrorises the city!
