Clark and Lois discover a spaceship belonging to Kara, the mysterious young woman who recently saved Lex. But before Clark and Lois can open it, Kara appears and knocks Lois unconscious. Clark is shocked when Kara tells him she is there to protect baby Kal-El. Kara left Krypton as a teenager, simultaneously with the infant Clark, and has unknowingly been in suspended animation ever since crash-landing in the dam, so she is now younger than him.
