An artist from Atlanta learns how her ancestor escaped from slavery during the War of 1812 and joined British enemy forces who ended up burning down the White House. Meanwhile, on one of the Chesapeake Bay’s tributaries, an amateur archaeologist makes the discovery of a lifetime when he tracks down the wreck of the American flagship which lead a doomed resistance force against the enemy.
