THE SOUND OF MUSIC

On the eve of the Second World War, an orphaned young girl named Maria finds shelter in an Austrian convent and is preparing to become a nun. However, her love of music and lack of discipline are incompatible with monastic life. The Mother Abbess sends Maria to work as a governess to the children of a Naval officer widower, who soon falls in love with her.
