An alien spacecraft comes to the Earth on a scientific mission to collect flora samples. However, they are detected by government agents and have to quickly escape not to be caught. In a rush, they leave behind one of their botanists, who now doesn’t know how to return to its planet. The alien makes contact with a ten-year-old boy Elliott, who is about to help it to find the way home.
