DISTANT SHORES
CHESAPEAKE EASTERN SHORE. Few sailors reach the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay due to the shallow water but with the Shards are able to visit unique and isolated communities on this remote coast. At St Michaels they learn about traditional boatbuilding and on tiny Tangier Island in the middle of the Bay they see how the watermen have worked the Bay for generations.
