CAMBODIA'S LAND GRABS. For the sake of development, Cambodians are finding themselves getting evicted out of their own homes, leaving the land as cash cows for foreign and local investment companies. This phenomenon termed as "Land grabbing" has become widespread in Cambodia, with the poor bearing the brunt of it all. But, many fear a starker and much less optimistic outcome. Is land grabbing a necessary evil for the greater good of Cambodia? Will this suffering be just a temporary measure before the ripples of benefit can be seen?
