EUROPEAN ISLANDS EP

06: RHODOS. Rhodes is located in the Mediterranean Sea, in a place where the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea meet. This is one of the reasons that its eastern and western coasts are so very different from one another. It’s no coincidence that it’s called the island of the god Helios – it has the most sunny days out of all the Greek islands – a whole 3OO sunny days a year. Rhodes is not just beaches – it’s a crossroads of cultures with a history going back 2400 years.
