Overweight Chris is secretly in love with beautiful Jamie, his best friend. At the school graduation party he confesses his love to her, but gets the mitten and decides to leave his native New Jersey ... 10 years later Chris is a successful music producer based in Los Angeles. Now he is slim and very popular with the ladies. Before Christmas, Chris encounters Jamie and tries to win her heart again. He fails at his first try but doesn’t want to give up.
