FISH LIFE

THE RACE FOR SPACE. Reefs are magnificent edifices yet they still remain largely unknown. Even though it covers less than 1% of the sea floor, this ecosystem plays host to about 25% of marine species. The reefs offer ecological niches for many animals that find food and shelter there. What is the origin of this natural structure? Which coral species are the first to arrive? How is life organized there?
