SAVING MR. BANKS

Walt Disney didn’t even expect that he would need more than 20 years to film his daughters’ favourite Marry Poppins books by Pamela "P. L." Travers. In order to gain the right to do a movie, he had to persuade the stubborn British writer, who didn’t want her favourite character being ‘disfigured’ by Hollywood directing. Walt Disney had to go through a laundry list of things until Pamela finally agreed to adapt her books for the big screen.
