Brian Blade "Fellowship" - St Emilion Jazz Festival
Brian Blade and the Fellowship band reveals an essential member of one of the world's most prestigious ensembles: saxophonist Wayne Shorter's quartet (Shorter was himself a member of the Miles Davis quintet in the 60's). His latest album 'Season of Changes' needs to be listened to as one would watch a film: atmospheric pieces with nocturnal colours, intensely groovy. Others are more tormented. A story is being told, full of mysteries, unexpected sights and raw sounds from the winds. It is a great pleasure to welcome one of today's greatest drummers in Saint Emilion, for a fantastic evening! (90 min)
