ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA. Zanzibar, in the Indian Ocean some 50 kilometres off Africa has been part of Tanzania since 1964. Its very name has been the stuff of legend; Scheherazade often refers to it in the stories of the One Thousand and One Nights. And yet it’s a lively, animated and welcoming island.
