Jowee Omicil - Let's Bash; Jowee Omicil, saxophone, flute, clarinet, vocals; Jonathan Jurion, piano, keyboard; Just Wody Cereyon, bass guitar; Tilo Berthelot; drums; Jowee Omicil - a multi-instrumentalist who is like no one else - was born in Montreal in 1977 between the Haitian and Quebec communities. After living within a rich New York musical fabric, he splits his life between Miami and Paris. Fed by the playing of his masters - John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter or Kenny Garrett - his nomad jazz mixing Creole roots to Hip-Hop, gospel, soul and world folklores renews itself according to his encounters. Regarding 'Let's Bash', his new project, it is both a war cry and a love declaration that hide a great act of faith: 'I want jazz to become popular again'!
