From Thailand to the Mexican Coasts all the way up the Swedish Nordic waters, American marine biologist Tyson Roberts and his team set out to investigate on this legendary fish and dive into the abyss in search of the sea monster.

After having visited the capital, we go to Punta Arenas, the southernmost city of the South American country, it is the capital of Chilean Antarctica. It’s port looks out over the Straits of Magellan and as we sail towards the "end of the world" on board an expedition ship we enter Tierra del Fuego where in Ainsworth Bay we meet a fascinating colony of elephant seals. A nature guide together with a biologist help us understand the world of these rather unknown animals, revealing to us their secrets and behaviour patterns. And this is only the first part of a long adventure.

        A JOURNEY TO INFINITY - PART 2 (PATAGONIA). The journey to the edge of the world in the icy waters of Tierra del Fuego continues. On board our expedition ship we arrive to Tucker island, a birdwatcher’s paradise. The area that embraces the archipelagos of Tierra del Fuego and of Cape Horn, are home to 198 species of birds: cormorant colonies, southern gulls and the chimango caracara are everywhere in the sea and the sky, all around us. As soon as we board the practical and fast tender, we try to get as close as possible to the numerous birds sitting on the rocky gorges. But it is on the small beach that we meet the most fascinating part of this second documentary: they are the Magellan penguins, the most common species of penguin in the Straits of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego, places where these birds have chosen to live. In Nara, Japan, one particular mochi shop is famous for its high-speed mochi pounding technique. They have appeared in various Japanese TV programmes, and crowned champion of high-speed mochitsuki numerous times. Justin Onishi is Japanese American and currently teaches English in Kobe. Having spent most of his life in Hawaii, his return to the motherland has piqued his interest in his culture and in particular the art of mochi making.         SERGIU POPA ENSEMBLE. Sergiu Popa is an acoustic quintet from Montreal, directed by accordionist Tzigane (Roma) Sergiu Popa. The group offers its own musical arrangements of Eastern Europe traditional and composed pieces; they incorporate and mix the rhythms, instruments and typical harmonies from Latin, Caribbean, Jazz and Oriental styles. Each piece played by the ensemble gives place to improvisation, especially for Sergiu Popa, a virtuoso whose brilliant works are often spontaneous. The Ensemble also presents a more semi-classical repertoire, including arranged folk songs from Russia and Moldova in collaboration with Moldavian vocalist Marina Negruta.
