ABOUT A BOY
The main character, Will Freeman, is a carefree well-to-do bachelor and in his life there hasn't been any shocks. He has never been married, has no children, and he lives on the royalties from a Christmas song his father, a composer, once created. In order to have the opportunity to meet with attractive young women and have fleeting romances with them, he pretends to be the father of two-year-old Ned and begins attending single parents meetings. At one of such meetings, Freeman meets twelve-year-old Marcus, a lonely bullied adolescent, who bombards his life. Gradually, they become attached to each other. Marcus finds Will as an adult friend, who understands him and helps cope with his problems, and Will starts to feel responsible for the little friend...
