  Toronto-born twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten debuted their menswear line, DSquared2, in Milan in 1993. Building off of the momentum from their menswear, the duo launched their first womenswear collection in 2003. The Catens have since become famous for their theatrical shows, cheeky sense of humor, and their unique vision of glamour – a mix of celebrity swagger and jet-set excess, shaken up with some downhome elements from their native Canada. In recent years, the brothers have dressed the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, and Gwen Stefani, and while the elite fashion press is not always so starry eyed when it comes to DSquared’s over-the-top Milan runway shows, celebrities, supermodels, and daring consumers around the globe still can’t get enough!
