Éric Legnini Trio - Jazz á la Villette
Éric Legnini Trio; Éric Legnini Trio; Eric Legnini (piano); Rocky Gresset (guitar); Thomas Bramerie (double bass); A foot-stomping jazz, touched by soul and by funk. Eric Legnini's recording tryptich, begun in 2006 with Miss Soul (then Big Boogaloo and Trippin'), marking the magnificent first steps of a leader for a pianist with a hyper-sophisticated bop language as early as the middle of the 1990's alongside the saxophonist Stefano Di Battista. Since then, the Belgian musician, settled in Paris has led an eclectic career, multiplied collaborations with vocalists (his friend Huge Coltman amngst others) and regularly puts on his producer's hat. In this 2019 season, Eric Legnini is coming back to the trio, but this time without drums: he will be accompanied by the guitarist Rocky Gresset (a reference on the Gypsy jazz scene) and by Thomas Bramerie (long-time touring partner and very probably the most sought after Parisian bass player) with whom he will present a completely new repertoire. Recorded on September 7, 2019 at the Pierre Boulez Hall - Philharmonie, Jazz á la Villette; TV Director, Samuel Thibaut (50 min)

Jaime Woods - Festival International de Jazz de Montréal
Jaime Woods at the International Jazz Festival of Montréal 2016; Like many before her, Jaime Woods' career began in a church. Learning and sharpening her work on the Gospel scene, in Chicago, she moved in the East Coast for a brief schooling at Berklee College. The opportunity there to explore different types of music pushed her towards New York, and in particular Brooklyn. Jaime has since been into strong collaborations with Bilal, Casey Benjamin, Gadget, Cloche Jennah, Jose James, Emily King, Nick Hakim, Roy Hargrove, Kendra Foster, Gary Bartz, Lalah Hathaway, Haitus Kaiyote... Leaning on her soul voice, upon a precise and delicate instrumentation, Jaime is undoubtedly a stand-out artist who shows, despite her 25 years, a great maturity and true sensitivity. Recorded on June 29th at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Montréal; TV direction by Mathieu Mastin (47 min)
