While playing around in the jungle, the Marsu babies come across a strange, ball-shaped plant. Tossing and kicking it, they bring it back to camp, and it ends up in Aunt Diane’s vegetable patch. The botanist unwittingly plants it, only to find that this new plant grows like a weed, threatening the other flowers and vegetables. Its roots spread beneath the entire campsite, which seems to fascinate Aunt Diane. Hector and Marsu quickly realize that all their nearest and dearest are starting to behave strangely. In fact, they all suddenly start living solely to feed, nurse, and take care of this new plant. Aunt Diane actually calls it THE plant. Hector and Marsu try to deal with the situation, but it only gets worse: when they don’t take care of THE plant, Diane, Mrs. Marsu, the baby marsus, and all the animals get offended, as if the only purpose of their existence is to care for it. Finally, Hector also comes under the strange power of THE plant, and Marsu has to deal with the situation alone. But with any luck, yellow and black polka dotted luck that is, he’ll be able to save his friends and family. Hoobah! (23 min)
